Showers are back: Damp conditions will stick around through afternoon

HOUSTON – Showers are back for the Tuesday morning commute.

Morning commuters will want to allow for extra travel time, as the rain will become more widespread through the morning.

The rain is expected to start around 7 or 8 a.m. Tuesday and will be consistent through the afternoon until around 3 to 4 p.m., with lowering rain chances by the evening drive.

Showers are back for the Tuesday morning commute.

Only about a fourth to a half-inch of rain is expected Tuesday, but inconvenient showers could cause some delays for drivers.

Expect chilly temperatures Tuesday, with highs in the low to mid-50s.

Although daily rain chances are in the forecast for the remainder of the week, only stray showers are possible Wednesday. The next soggy day will be on Thursday.

Weather will dry out and temperatures will warm up for the weekend.
