Hot, humid Tuesday with isolated showers

HOUSTON – Tuesday will be another hot, humid day with a 20 percent chance of rain.

We start off with temperatures in the mid-70s and warm up to 96 by the afternoon.

Heavy rain will hit from Louisiana to Florida over the next several days as a tropical disturbance moves from the central Gulf. The system is likely to become Tropical Storm Cindy.

We will see higher tides and rip currents along the coast. It is not quite clear yet if the storm will head to southeast Texas, so it’s important to be and stay prepared.

We will feel the winds pick up Tuesday, with the biggest impact coming Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
Widespread flooding is not expected, but we could see some isolated flooding.

Tropical Storm Bill was that last to affect the Houston area, which hit Matagorda County two years ago.
