Warm, humid Thursday with possible stray shower

Temperatures will remain above normal on Thursday, ahead of a weekend cold front that will bring us our next significant weather pattern shift.

Thursday morning, we will wake up to temperatures in the upper 60s under mostly cloudy skies and a few light streamer showers coming off the Gulf of Mexico.

Partly to mostly cloudy skies will persist through the afternoon. Temperatures will warm into the mid-80s, which should be enough to spark a few splash-and-dash showers.

With rain chances at about 20 percent, most of us will stay dry during the day.

Changes will return on Saturday, when a cold front pushes through Houston.

The front will bring scattered rain Saturday morning and cooler, sunnier, less humid weather for the second half of the weekend.

Behind the front, look for morning low temperatures in the 50s and afternoon highs in the 70s.
