Storms ending and dry skies take over in southeast Texas

Brief dry spell ahead for Houston

HOUSTON – A cold front that passed through southeast Texas Tuesday afternoon will push offshore Tuesday evening, taking showers and thunderstorms with it.  That leaves dry skies in the Houston area for Wednesday

Behind the front, temperatures will slowly drop through the 60s Tuesday evening under mostly cloudy skies.  No rain is expected.

Humidity levels are significantly lower behind the front, too.  You'll notice relatively cool temperatures, in the mid 50s, by Wednesday morning.  Jackets may be in order!  Afternoon highs will be in the low 70s under partly cloudy skies.  Wednesday will be rain-free.
