Warm, muggy, showery & breezy to start work week

HOUSTON – A cold front is moving through Monday bringing a round of midday showers and storms.

There is the potential for isolated strong storms through the early afternoon mainly northeast of Harris County.

Temperatures will be well above average in the upper 70s to 80 degrees Monday afternoon! Skies will start to clear northwest to southeast between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Expect clear skies and dry driving conditions for the evening commute.

Although temperatures will drop Monday night they will soar back to the mid 70s Tuesday afternoon as a second front moves through Southeast Texas.

This front will produce afternoon showers Tuesday and finally usher in cooler and drier air for the rest of the week. Be prepared for chilly mornings in the 40s and cool afternoons in the 60s Wednesday through Friday
