The hot weather will continue this Tuesday. Temperatures are starting in the upper 70s to low 80s, but will warm up to the upper 90s by Tuesday afternoon. A high of 98 degrees is expected. Hot temperatures will continue throughout the week.
A stray shower is possible, with rain chances below 10 percent.
The Channel 2 weather team is watching a tropical disturbance south of Jamaica. This could become Earl as it tracks west toward Belize. It is not expected to have a direct impact here in the Houston area, but rain chances will go up by early next week as the system moves into central Mexico.
