Hot, humid weather continues with scattered showers and storms returning to Houston.

HOUSTON – Relatively humid weather will continue in Houston for the remainder of the work week.  Showers and storms will also creep into the forecast as a cold front slinks its way toward southeast Texas from the north.

High temperatures will continue to be in the mid to upper 80s Thursday and Friday, with overnight lows in the low 70s.

Expect a 30 percent chance for showers and storms both Thursday and Friday afternoon.

A cold front will work its way into the Houston area on Friday.  It could spell brief relief from the humidity for the first half of the weekend, depending on how far south it drifts before stalling and washing out.
