HOUSTON – Several people, including two children under 10, were hospitalized after a five-car crash on the Katy Freeway.
According to authorities, the crash happened around 6:40 a.m. on the Katy Freeway westbound at Greenhouse Road.

Harris County deputies shared a tweet saying five vehicles were involved in the crash and two children -- a 3-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy --Â were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital via LifeFlight.Â
They are both in critical condition, police said.
Houston police said the children were passengers in a gray Dodge Ram pickup truck and that the driver lost control of the vehicle and hit a vehicle parked on the freeway.
No charges have been filed at this time.
Several other people were transported via ambulance with minor injuries, deputies said.
The freeway has since been reopened.
