Where can you buy those new Verlander T-shirts?

HOUSTON – Astros fans can get their hands on new Justin Verlander gear as a Houston T-shirt printer worked overtime to stock stores shelves Wednesday.

“I love Verlander. Love him,” said one fan. “He’s got a great record, let’s go for it.”

The company, Fans Only, made 10,000 T-shirts and will ship them to 80 Kroger stores in the Houston area.

“Right now, I’m going around 225 to 200 shirts an hour,” said Paul Phoenix.

Phoenix, also known as "Paul The Printer," has done screen-printing for 30 years. The Verlander T-shirt was an eight-color design.

“I’ve done it my whole life," Phoenix said. "It’s a family business, and when it comes to doing sports and doing something like this, it’s kind of cool."

Fans Only had a license with the MLB Players Association and wanted to get the shirts to fans quickly.

"We print locally, so it’s a one-day ship, and so everything hits the next day," said Fred Fillah, who also works at Fans Only. "We try to turn as quick as we can."

Fans can buy them just in time for everyone to cheer on their team and earn history.

“We’re going to win, and then we’re going to bring it home and hopefully win at least two out of the three,” said fan Eddie Munguia.

“We've got to win, then we’re going to come back here and we’re gonna bring it to them," said Derrick Laurel, another fan. "It’s all going to go down in H-Town."

Fans can find the shirts at most Kroger Stores for $19.99, while supplies last. They can also buy them online at TodaysChamps.com.
