Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson talks Texans, meets fans

Watson helps launch Uber VIP in Houston

HOUSTON – Houston Texans rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson is doing all he can to impress the Texans coaching staff as he gets ready to head into the third week of on field training activities.

"I'm so far away from being a great quarterback, I have to start over, start from the bottom (as a rookie quarterback)," Watson said. "I'm still shell-shocked. I've come so far to get here, it still feels like a dream that I haven't woken up."

He's also doing the things with the fans a future starting NFL quarterback normally likes to do when they are in their new NFL city.

On Sunday, Watson helped to launch Uber VIP with a group of fans at a O Athletik gym in Houston.

Watson, a frequent Uber user, ran through passing drills with the group of VIPs and took pictures and signed autographs for them Sunday afternoon.

"Everyone needs Uber," Watson said. "Everyone needs to be able to get home safely. I'm just here to be one of the first VIP, be here with some of the other special guests and go through drills."

He also talked about his first six weeks with the Texans as he gets more comfortable thinking of himself as an NFL player.
