Texans head coach Bill O'Brien noncommital on Week 2 QB decision

HOUSTON - Houston Texans head coach Bill O'Brien was noncommittal when it came to naming the team's Week 2 starting quarterback at a press conference Tuesday.

O'Brien did not say whether Tom Savage or Deshaun Watson would start on Thursday in Cincinnati.

Savage was benched in favor of Watson at halftime of the Texans season-opening 29-7 loss to the Jaguars.

Watson was responsible for the only points Houston scored when he connected with DeAndre Hopkins for a touchdown in the third quarter.

The Texans and Bengals are both working on a short week, with Thursday night's matchup quickly approaching.

O'Brien said the quarterback decision would most likely come down to the health of the players.
