Texans fan creates GoFundMe page to buy out Brock Osweiler's contract

Coach O'Brien said he has no intention of benching Osweiler

HOUSTON – It's not easy being a Houston Texans fan, especially now.

After the Texans lost to the Denver Broncos on "Monday Night Football," fans have been expressing their frustration, to say the least. And it appears they're extremely disappointed with quarterback Brock Osweiler's performance so far this season.

One fan in particular has gone so far as to start a GoFundMe page to buy out Osweiler's contract.

"I am a die hard Texans fan, and we need to get rid of Brock Osweiler or we're going anywhere," Ali A-g wrote on the page. "He is a waste of $72 million and for a dollar a day, we can get him out and make DeAndre Hopkins happy."

The page was created Tuesday, and has generated  $160.

Many fans are also asking for the team to give second string quarterback Tom Savage a chance, but that may not happen anytime soon. Coach Bill O'Brien said Monday he has no intention of benching Osweiler.

Osweiler was 22 for 41 for only 141 yards with no touchdowns against the Broncos.

Osweiler left the Broncos for a $72 million contract with the Texans. According to reports, Osweiler was not happy with what the Broncos were going to offer him after the team won Super Bowl LI with Peyton Manning.

The Texans are 4-3, and the team is back at NRG Stadium Sunday to play against Matt Stafford and the Detroit Lions.
