HOUSTON - The recent signing period is over and college football programs are already looking ahead to the class of 2019.
One top recruit is St. Pius quarterback Grant Gunnell, who had verbally committed to Texas A&M since his sophomore season.
Now, as recruiting heats up on the St. Pius junior, he has gone public to state that while the Aggies are still very much in play, he has decided to reopen his recruitment.
Gunnell made his announcement on his Twitter page @grantgunnell7 Tuesday night.
Gunnell has offers from across the country, including most recently from Arizona, where Kevin Sumlin is their new head coach, and with Ohio State.
