CHICAGO - The Chicago Cubs pushed back their home opener from Monday until Tuesday because of snowfall, WGN-TV reports.
Monday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates is now scheduled for Tuesday at 1:20 p.m local time.
The team tweeted pictures of players on the snow-covered field with the caption, "Snow much fun."
Cubs fans were bundled up and ready for the game, though.
"I have jeans, snow pants, two layers of socks and I have a sweatshirt and two shirts," Alexis Murphy told WLS-TV.
The Cubs aren't the only MLB team to get snowed out this year. The Minnesota Twins, New York Yankees and New York Mets have all had to postpone games due to cold and snowy weather.
