Rockets aim to keep win streak going Saturday vs. Boston

HOUSTON – The Houston Rockets will carry the league’s best overall record and longest winning streak -- 14 straight wins -- into their game against the Boston Celtics on Saturday night.

At 48-13, the Rockets are still on course to produce the greatest regular season in franchise history, but the players and head coach Mike D’Antoni keep driving home the same point as they have throughout the year -- they are just trying to get better.

“We’re not in a place where we can get comfortable and say, 'We have the best record in the league," James Harden said. "We still have to prove ourselves."

Harden went on to say that the team can't relax with this rare opportunity they have.

“Every guy in this locker room, from myself to Chris (Paul), to Trevor (Ariza) to guys that have been on other teams haven’t had this opportunity in I don’t know how long,” Harden said.

“They’re always talking about what they can do better defensively,” D’Antoni said. “To me it’s much easier to learn while you’re winning than it is losing, if they want to do it and they want to do it.”

The Rockets face Boston at the Toyota Center. Tip-off is at 7:30 a.m.
