Super Bowl opening night to kick off at Minute Maid Park

Fans can start buying tickets

HOUSTON – Starting Monday, fans can start buying tickets to the NFL's kickoff event to Super Bowl LI.

"Super Bowl Opening Night Fueled by Gatorade" is scheduled Jan. 30 at Minute Maid Park.

"Super Bowl Opening Night," which debuted last year, is the first time that players and coaches will meet with the media in Houston. The event will begin at 7 p.m. CST.

Fans will sit in the stadium stands and watch thousands of members of the media interview the Super Bowl players. The event will also feature live musical performances, special appearances and autographs by NFL Legends, cheerleaders and team mascots and a red carpet fan photo opportunity.

"Super Bowl Opening Night" in Houston will be televised live on the NFL Network.

Fans who attend will receive gift bags that includes a radio to tune into the NFL Network for coverage and listen to some of the individual player interviews from the podium microphones.

Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com and start as low as $20. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

Super Bowl LI will be played Feb. 5 at NRG Stadium in Houston.
