NEW YORK - Family members say a 2-year-old girl is okay after she was hit by a foul ball at New York's Yankee Stadium.
The ball was flying at 105 miles per hour before it struck the little girl in the face Wednesday afternoon.
The ball went off the bat of Todd Frazier, who was clearly upset after the game.
"It was terrible,” Frazier said. “(I’m) shaken up a little bit. I don't know what happened. I hope she is all right, and I wish it had never happened. It was tough, tough to watch and tough to be part of, to be honest."
The game against the Minnesota Twins was stopped for four minutes, with some players holding back tears.
The little girl, who was at the game with her grandparents, was later taken to the hospital.
The incident is heating up the debate over whether a protective netting should have already been installed at the stadium.
