The full schedule for the 2017 season will be released at a later date.

The 2017 season will be the first in Houston for newly appointed head coach Wilmer Cabrera, who plans to bring an exciting, entertaining possession-based style of play to the Dynamo.

The former Colombian national team defender has a wealth of coaching experience at multiple levels in North America, including time as a head coach and assistant coach in Major League Soccer, United States Under-17 Boys National Team head coach, and most recently the head coach of the Rio Grande Valley FC Toros, the Dynamo’s hybrid affiliate in the USL.

The Dynamo continued to reshape the roster on Tuesday afternoon when the club announced the signing of Alberth Elis, a 20-year-old forward with electrifying speed and a nose for goal. The Honduran international joins a young and diverse Dynamo attack highlighted by the trio of 21-year-old Colombian forward Mauro Manotas, 25-year-old Pennsylvania-born winger Andrew Wenger and 27-year-old Brazilian midfielder Alex, who combined for 17 goals in MLS play last season.

Seattle will look to defend their MLS Cup championship behind MLS Rookie of the Year Jordan Morris and Uruguayan playmaker Nicolas Lodeiro, and may be rejoined by Texas native Clint Dempsey, who missed the end of the 2016 season and the playoffs due to health issues.

The Dynamo played to a 3-3 draw in their 2016 home opener against the New England Revolution, breaking a streak of four consecutive victories in home openers dating back to the opening of BBVA Compass Stadium in 2012. Houston is 6-1-4 all-time in home openers and 5-2-4 all-time on Opening Day.

Dynamo full season memberships are also available for purchase and afford fans the opportunity to select preferred pricing and locations.
