HOUSTON – Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson had himself an historic game last Sunday and now he has the hardware to prove it.
Watson Wednesday was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week after his 5 touchdown game to lead the Texans to a 54-17 rout of the Tennessee Titans.

In only his third NFL start, Watson completed 73.5 percent of his passes, had a 125.0 passer rating with four touchdowns through the air and another one on the ground.
His five touchdowns were the second most scored by a rookie in NFL history (Gale Sanders, 1965) and tied for the most touchdowns in a game by a rookie quarterback.
Watson is the first rookie ever with at least 7 pass touchdowns and at least 2 rushing touchdowns in his team's first four games of a season. He and Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton are the only rookies in NFL history with 9 total touchdowns through their team's first 4 games of the season.
