Daily Craig: Here we go

HOUSTON – As we edge ever closer to football and see the end of the tunnel for baseball, let's review. Words, questions, or phrases we wish would go away. No question. No question is usually the response when a question has been asked. If it was "no question" the person answering should say nothing. "WHAT IS GOING THROUGH YOUR HEAD?"  The person asking that question has nothing going through her or his head. The person on the receiving end might just say "Blood". "How important was your touchdown?" The game was decided by 6 points so I am guessing the answer would be "very important."

"Did you ever expect to be in this position?"  Yes, I have played this position since I was 5. If you mean this situation, then ask that. "WHEN YOU WERE LITTLE did you ever expect to be on a World Series contender?" When he was little he was 3 so chances of making the Royals or the Mets was a long shot. "What would you say to kids you want to be like you?". Learn to chew tobacco.

I know the trite side of sports will never go away. If it did I WOULDN'T BE TRYING MY BEST to fill some time and take up some space on the internet. I WILL HANG UP AND LISTEN.
