A consistently stellar program, and one full of regimen and talent, San Antonio's Texas Military Institute is looking for its third straight title in TAPPS Division II Winter Soccer. The Panthers have won three State Championships out of the last four years, but this year they are hoping to clinch the "three-peat."

With many returners on the Panthers squad, TMI will be a big threat in TAPPS Division II once again. Having already started the season out 5-0, the Panthers have a much larger district this year than in recent years. The new alignment turned the previously three-team district into an eight-team district. That shouldn't slow down the Panthers, after all, they have two gold medals in a row.

Head Coach of 12 years, Oscar Munoz is excited about the season. His goal is to "keep it simple," he said, "and stay committed to team play." With six starters returning for the Panthers, two of which are committed to continue their career post high school, the team will remain strong. Senior Patricio Parra is committed to Cornell University, and senior Tristan Smith will head to University of Chester, United Kingdom. Along with those two seniors, Jorge Tirado Arias and Simon Rupe will be amongst the leaders for the TMI squad.
