HOUSTON – We're months away from the return of the baseball season, but there are still a lot of important dates to know about in the offseason.

On Nov. 16, Major League Baseball will announce the Most Valuable Player for both leagues. Astros 2B Jose Altuve is a finalist, along with Aaron Judge and Jose Ramirez for the American League MVP Award. Jeff Bagwell won in 1994.

In January, the Astros will hold their Fanfest. An exact date hasn't been set, but it's usually on one of the last weekends in January. All the players will be at Minute Maid Park and the fans can get autographs and interact with them before they head off to Spring Training.

Speaking of Spring Training, pitchers and catchers report on Feb. 13 and 14.
