Astros return to Houston for three World Series games

HOUSTON – The Houston Astros returned Thursday to the Bayou City after a thrilling extra-inning win against the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 2 of the World Series.

The team arrived at George Bush Intercontinental Airport on a chartered United plane just before 5 p.m.

The 11-inning game broke several records for the World Series, including the number of home runs hit during extra innings.

The series is tied 1-1, with the next three games to be played Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Minute Maid Park, where the Astros are 6-0 this postseason.

At a news conference, several members of the team said they are focused on Friday night's game, and are happy to be playing in front of their hometown fans.

Editor's note: An earlier version of this story reported that the Astros arrived about 3:15 p.m. That was later determined to be friends and family of the teams.
