Texans AFC South champs gear goes on sale
HOUSTON – It was a squeaker, but Houston’s win over Cincinnati on Saturday night clinched the AFC South division championship for the Texans.
Former Texans player Randy Bullock missed a 43-yard field goal for the Bengals, giving the Texans a 12-10 win and the team’s second straight division championship.
Texans fans can celebrate the victory starting Monday when AFC South championship gear goes on sale.
Workers at Academy Sports & Outdoors were busy stocking the racks with the deep steel blue, battle red and liberty white threads.
One of the shirts read, “Hold down the South: 2016 AFC South Champions.”
The shirts sell for about $30 each, and come in men’s women’s and kids’ sizes.
Academy opens at 8:30 a.m.
Championship clothing can also be purchased online at nflshop.com.
