I feel for those laboring in the dark, damp, dank, and sometimes dismal sports information offices. They pound out stat after stat and story line after story line. Sometimes their effort is beyond reason.
For instance: Friday the Coogs will be in the LIBERTY BOWL VS. MEMPHIS. 1,100 OF THE FANS in attendance still think the school is called MEMPHIS STATE. That kind of stuff is invaluable. But seriously, with Google AND the World Wide Web, we hardly need those sports info people. THINK AGAIN.
I would not have known UH and ALABAMA ARE the only two football teams with double digit wins over top ten teams. Here's another, UH has six straight wins over top 25 teams. THE COOGS have won 22 times with Tom Herman as the coach. That ties them with Ohio St. for third in the nation behind ALABAMA and Clemson (a reminder" In South Carolina Clemson is pronounced CLEMP-SON.) The Houston defense is second in the nation against the run. Six Clemson players had the runs last week, but we won't consider that stat.
