HOUSTON – Friday is a big day for JJ Watt and his fans! Reebok and Watt will officially launch Watt's new shoe, which is called the JJ I.
Watt has been showing off the shoe to fans for months on Twitter, Facebook and Snapchat.
"I've trained in many different shoes throughout my career, but there was never one that I felt was clearly the best shoe to get the job done," Watt said. "So I decided to build one and with the help of some great designers, I am proud to say that we have created the best training shoe I've ever worn. We spent over a year making sure that this shoe would perform at the highest level on any surface for any activity. Everyone has their own personal vision of greatness; the JJ simply ensures that you have the right tools for the hunt."
As part of the release, the Reebok JJ I Mobile Tour will be making stops around the Houston area at select Academy locations on Friday:
- 7 to 9 a.m.: 2404 Southwest Freeway, Houston, TX 77098
- 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: 9470 FM 1960 Bypass, Humble, TX 77338
- 5 to 7 p.m.: 23155 I-10 West (at the Grand Parkway), Katy, TX 77450
There will be a JJ Watt-inspired mini-combine. Fans will receive a free gift for trying on the new shoe.

The JJ I will be released July 15 on Reebok.com and Academy stores for $99.99. Fans can also register for updates and information at Reebok.com/JJWatt.
