HOUSTON – The wait is finally over and Texans superstar J.J. Watt was back on the Texans practice field on Monday taking part in an OTA workout for the first time.
Watt had been easing back into his routine following groin surgery in the offseason. Watt spoke after practice on Monday at NRGÂ Stadium.
"It felt really good to be back with my teammates and feel part of the squad again. My body performed really well," said Watt.
Quarterback Brock Osweiler, who skipped a White House visit with his former Broncos teammates, also was happy to see Watt on the field.
"You could definitely feel his presence. It was good to have him out there today," Osweiler said.
Watt hopes to regain the form he had in 2015 when he finished with 17 1/2 sacks.
