SAN FRANCISCO – He made a run for it, but a small black Chihuahua was captured by California Highway Patrol officers after leading them on a chase across the Bay Bridge in San Francisco.

To coral the dog, patrolmen blocked traffic on the bridge that averages 270,000 cars per day.
The dog was sent to SF Animal Care but a veterinarian there could not find a microchip nor did the dog have any tags on him.

Video of the chase has gone viral and now officials are hoping the owners of the dog will come forward.
