HOUSTON - Just days after Hurricane Isaac slammed into the Gulf coast Tuesday, the American Red Cross is already on the front lines in an effort to help victims rebuild their lives. Cameron Ballantyne, Regional Communications Officer for the American Red Cross said there are many ways Houstonians are already reaching out to help Isaac victims. HISD Superintendent Dr. Terry Grier stops by to talk about the nearly $2 billion bond issue voters will decide on in November. Dr. Grier said if passed, the bond money would be used to replace 20 high schools and make major upgrades to several other schools. He also explained why he believes it's important for voters to pass the issue and what it could mean for HISD students.

Now that the Republican National Convention is over, it's the Democrats' turn.

Democratic State Representative Senfronia Thompson from District 141 and Gary Polland, the former chair of the Harris County Republican Party discuss the upcoming Democratic National Convention.
