Zipcar launches car-sharing network in Houston

HOUSTON - A car-sharing network has rolled into Houston.

Zipcar is the world's leading car-sharing network. The company announced Wednesday that 25 zipcars are now parked in reserved spots around the city.

The cars are available for hourly or daily use.

Zipcar's rates include gas, insurance, 180 free miles per day, and free parking in a reserved spot.

The vehicles available in Houston range from pickup trucks to Mini Coopers. Rates vary for each vehicle.
