Yosemite Park 'firefall' lights up social media

Special sight only seen in February

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, California – A unique sight of a small waterfall at Yosemite National Park has thousands talking on social media.

On Monday, the U.S. Department of the Interior posted a picture on Facebook and Twitter of what is called a 'firefall' at Horsetail Fall.

The picture shows the waterfall with an orange glow that resembles fire. According to the department's website, Horsetail Fall has gained popularity because of the orange glow it has during sunset between mid and late February.

The picture has been shared more than 15,000 times on Facebook and has been retweeted more than 5,000 times.
