HOUSTON - Concerned residents are sending out an online warning to women. The report said two women were targeted recently in southwest Houston.

In one case, a woman was walking to her car outside of a grocery store on Buffalo Speedway and Bissonnet recently. She told Houston police that a man drove up, leaned out of his car and stole her purse right off of her shoulder. The woman said that she noticed the man earlier as he smiled at her.

"I'm shocked. Especially in this community. What is it coming to? It has to stop now," said one shopper as she learned of this crime and another post on an online forum.

The online post said a mother was targeted in front of the Hobby Lobby on the West Loop in southwest Houston. The report said a man grabbed her purse as she held her baby and loaded her car in front of the Hobby Lobby. The report showed a getaway driver nearly ran her over.

Houston police could not immediately find a report for the second case. An employee at the store said the case was reported to officers who are reviewing surveillance video.
