Woman, her unborn child killed in Beaumont robbery

BEAUMONT, Texas – A woman and her unborn child were killed Tuesday during a robbery at an apartment complex in Beaumont.

The robbery was reported about 1:50 a.m. at 6155 Sienna Trails.

Beaumont police said officers were responding to reports of a shooting when they found the 19-year-old woman, who was seven months pregnant, suffering from gunshot wounds in the parking lot.

The woman was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital, where her baby was delivered, police said. They said neither the woman nor her baby survived.

Police said they are searching for three people believed to be connected to the shooting.
