HOUSTON – Police are looking for the family of a woman who was found dead and partially dressed Monday on a southwest Houston street.
Officers were called around 1:45 a.m. to the 9800 block of Brooklet for reports of a body on the street.
Police said they found an African-American woman who appeared to be in her 30s lying in the road.
Detectives said she had something around her neck when she was found. They believe she was strangled.
An official cause of death is pending an autopsy, police said.
Police said she has the words "Black Candy" tattooed on her left ankle and another tattoo on her lower back.
A woman who said she knew her, told police that that the woman only came out during the day and didn't like to be out late at night.
