Woman dragged several feet during violent purse snatching in SW Houston

HOUSTON – Authorities are asking the public to help identify the man responsible for a violent robbery on July 14.

A woman was walking in the Nithyanandeshwaara Hindu Temple parking lot at 14140 Westheimer Road around 7:15 p.m. when a man approached her from behind and grabbed her purse.

The woman was dragged several feet, knocking her shoes off.

The man was seen on surveillance video getting into a black 2012-2016 Chevrolet Impala with black rims after the crime.

He is described as black, about 25-35 years old, about 6 feet tall, weighs about 160-180 pounds, has black hair, was wearing a dark hoodie and gray pants at the time of the crime. He lost one of his black and blue Reebok size 12 shoes at the scene.
