Woman cut with knife during attempted abduction near The Woodlands

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas - A woman was stabbed Monday around 8:50 p.m. during an attempted abduction while she was jogging near The Woodlands, according to Montgomery County authorities.

Authorities said a 28-year-old woman told deputies she had been jogging on Oakhurst Drive when a man in a small car stopped, with its high beam lights pointed toward her.

She told authorities that the driver of the car got out and attempted to pull her inside the vehicle, but she fought back. The man then pulled out a knife and cut her on her left arm, deputies said.

The man then got back in the car and left the scene, authorities said.

The woman said two other men were inside the vehicle.

The woman then ran to her residence and called 911. Authorities were not able to find the vehicle in the area.

The woman was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
