HOUSTON - A woman has been charged in connection with a crash that killed another driver.

Jennifer Nicole Molina, 21, has been charged with intoxication manslaughter and accident involving injury or death.

Houston police said Molina was driving a Nissan Versa on the northbound service road of the 10100 block of the North Freeway about 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

Detectives said Molina rear-ended a Honda Civic. The impact of the crash forced the Civic to hit a large concrete pillar, police said.

The 34-year-old female driver of the Civic was taken to a hospital, where she died. Her name has not been released.

Molina ended up crashing through a chain-link fence and called a relative, police said. That relative picked her up and drove her away from the scene, investigators said.

Detectives said the relative convinced Molina to return to the scene about an hour later. She was then arrested.
