Woman assaults employee while attempting to rob grocery store, deputies say

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Officials are searching for a woman who they said assaulted a grocery store employee while attempting to steal items on June 20.

Deputies said the woman walked into the store in the 3000 block of N. Fry Road, placed several items in her cart and walked past all points of sale without paying for the merchandise.

When an employee attempted to stop the woman, the assailant assaulted the employee and left the area in a black Dodge Charger with temporary license plates, deputies said.

The woman is described as white or Hispanic and heavyset. She has a tattoo of a star on her left chest and a tattoo on her upper left arm.
