HOUSTON - A woman has been accused of stalking and trying to kill another woman because she thought the woman was having an affair with her husband.

Lucila Jimenez, 44, has been charged with felony stalking.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office said a woman told deputies that Jimenez called her on Jan. 12 to say that she would "kill her" if she did not stop sleeping with her husband. The calls continued for months, officials said.

In February, the woman said Jimenez approached her and threatened her, and she recognized her as a former customer.

On July 19, the victim said that Jimenez followed her to work and then tried to run her and her young daughter off the road with her vehicle twice, court documents said.

The victim drove to the Houston Police Department storefront, where Jimenez followed her, officials said. Jimenez then threatened the victim again in front of police, according to a police statement, and she was told to leave immediately and not arrested.

The next day, Jimenez went to where the woman worked, the Tips Hair Salon, 10176 Veterans Memorial Drive, and threatened her while reaching inside her purse, as if for a weapon, deputies said. Witnesses called 911 and Jimenez drove off.

She remained on the loose on Monday.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
