Woman accused of stabbing, killing her uncle in Spring residence

SPRING, Texas – A 29-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the stabbing death of her 67-year-old uncle.

Harris County deputies said they responded to an unknown medical emergency at the 23400 block of Cranberry Trail Saturday night.

Around 11 p.m., deputies arrived to find Robert Mitchell unresponsive in the entryway of the home.

According to authorities, Mitchell's niece, Nicole Daniels, said her uncle had been intoxicated and they had a physical altercation.

His niece allegedly told deputies she pushed her uncle and he fell in the entryway.

Mitchell was transported to the hospital and a preliminary investigation revealed he had been stabbed in the torso.

Daniels is in custody, facing murder charges.
