SANTA FE, Texas - A woman has been accused of assaulting two police officers after assaulting two women.

Santa Fe police said they were called out to a home in the 5800 block of F.M. 646 South on Monday.

Detectives said Amber Garen, 22, assaulted two women at that home.

Officers tried to find Garen at the home, but she had left. Investigators said they found out she was in a nearby yard. As officers moved in to arrest Garen, she ran away, police said.

Officers Jennifer Beavers and Arturo Espinosa chased Garen, police said. Garen punched both officers, investigators said.

Garen was arrested and charged with assault on a public servant, evading arrest and assault causing bodily injury. She is being held in the Harris County Jail with bond set at $12,500.
