PEARLAND, Texas - A woman has been accused of fatally stabbing a teenager.

Brazoria County sheriff's deputies said Jasmine Miller, 19, was found dead behind an apartment building in the 1000 block of Broadway Street in Pearland about 5:45 p.m. on Jan. 7.

Detectives said their investigation led them to 26-year-old Niare Lyte. She has been charged with murder.

The motive for the slaying has not been released.

Lyte was arrested on Thursday and is being held in the Brazoria County Jail with bond set at $250,000.
