Firefighters managed to contain the flames in the bedroom, but had to cut a hole in the roof for fear the fire had spread to the attic.

One woman inside made it out safely with her two dogs.

Once the fire was out, firefighters rescued a cat hiding beneath a couch in another room.

No one was hurt in the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
