What you need to know: All 5 Houston ballot issues pass on election night

HOUSTON – All five issues on the ballot for the City of Houston passed Tuesday night, moving forward the language in place.

Here's what you need to know about the issues, according to the City of Houston's website

Proposition A - Allows the Houston City Council to issue Pension Obligation Bonds in the amount of $1,010,000,000. 

Proposition B - Approves $159,000,000 to go toward public safety bonds. This will impact police and fire departments and the levying of taxes.

Proposition C - The approves of $104,000,000 for park improvement bonds for neighborhood parks, recreational facilities and bayous. This includes such green spaces along all bayous.

Proposition D - The issuance of $109,000,000 for public facility bonds that will impact governmental and general services of the city.

Proposition E - The issuance of $123,000,000 for library bonds impacting the equipment of the public library system.
