Truck spills 31K lbs. of beef next to road

Truck collided with another in foggy conditions Schwaneberg

More than 30,000 pounds of beef are headed to a landfill rather than dinner tables in South Dakota.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol reported that two semi-trucks collided in foggy conditions, causing one of the trucks to spill its load – 31,000 pounds of beef roasts.

Photos from the scene show the load of beef lying next to the road.

The driver of the semi hauling the beef was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

The beef was taken to a landfill.
