New Jersey Cardinal Joseph Tobin is defending himself after he posted a tweet saying, "Supposed to be airborne in 10 minutes. Nighty-night, baby. I love you."

Tobin's spokesman Jim Goodness says the tweet is being misrepresented, as it was meant to address Tobin's sister. Of Tobin's eight younger sisters, Goodness says "they're all his baby sisters."

It is unclear how the sibling were communicating before the tweet, but his account shows he seldom uses the social media platform.

The 65-year-old archbishop's tweet has since been deleted.
