Men try to buy drugs at police station, subsequently arrested

Off-duty officer approached in parking lot

Two men who approached a police officer at the police station in Connecticut to solicit drugs were subsequently arrested, reports The Associated Press.

Hartford police say the men were in the parking lot of the police station when they asked an officer who had just finished his shift if he would sell them cocaine. The officer directed them to the ATM in the lobby of the station so they could get $60 in cash, and proceeded to call other officers over for help.

The two men were arrested and the cash was taken as evidence.

A spokesperson for the department posted the police report to Twitter.
