NW HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - Two people are in the hospital after a violent crash that investigators say was caused by street racing.

This happened on Ella Boulevard in Northwest Harris County around 2 p.m. Saturday.

Investigators with the Harris County Sheriff's Office said two drivers were street racing when one of the drivers hit a curb and lost control.

That driver then crashed into a fence, before hitting an electrical pole and landing right in front of someone's house.

Deputies said the driver of the other truck turned around to check on the people inside the truck that crashed. That driver did wait until deputies arrived.

Both drivers are now facing charges of racing, with causing bodily injuries, deputies said.

Deputies have not yet released the names of the drivers.
