PORT ARTHUR, Texas – A Port Arthur couple reunited with their horse a month after Harvey on Tuesday.
Gaither and Donna Beard’s 5-year-old horse, named Billy Jack, was stranded during Hurricane Harvey in chest-deep water. The Beards knew they couldn't get him out on their own.
He was eventually rescued by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department and relocated for safety.
The Beards searched for their horse through the Houston SPCA, and eventually found him in Austin.
