Vacant restaurant fire under investigation in NW Houston

HOUSTON – An investigation is underway after a fire ripped through a vacant restaurant Saturday night in northwest Houston.

Flames and smoke burst through the roof of the closed Black Eyed Pea restaurant at 11: 45 p.m. on FM 1960 Road and Sugar Pine Drive.

There were no reported injuries. 

Investigators are trying to determine how the fire started.
